10 photographs (1mx1m) that make fun of us and our small daily performances: hailing a cab, carrying suitcases, taking off stockings? With a great sense of humour, in front of his lens, they become small sportive performances.
The energy filled in the athlete's body has neither beginning nor ending.Energy came into existence at the birth of the universe, and it returned to a derivation of star dusts called "human being". As our theme, we chose human energy.
It is eternal and infinite in terms of both physics and time. With reason of China hosting the upcoming Olympic games, we introduce Chinese qigong to represent the harmony between universal energy and human energy, as well as the continuity of the energy within human body.
10 oversized photographs (1m98x1m32) , stick to one another. A choice: the black&white that gives a perspective and the sensation of cutting through the flesh. A powerful investigation on the human muscle that drives us through the world of effort.
2 photographs (1m43x1m41) from the series "Jogging in exotic cities" in which the artist travels like an angel figure through cities, souks, slums. Dressed in white he seems floating across these different worlds in which he creates a link by his own presence.
Bisextiles is an interactive collection installation on the theme of manhood, symbolised by the Olympics Games and the five intermingle rings. The other major theme of this show is the memory of the water and the universal vibration.
A pond filled with water will be the representation of this new imaginary geography, combining all the continents. A fountain water system, driven by a computer, lets the water run drop after drop or like a trickle, in five different points in the middle of the five rings, producing the Olympic symbol with the waves crossing each other. A video image that changes with the time is projected on the pond. The five illuminated points gives the opportunity to the public to interact with this piece of art.
"Sportive" dynamically explores movement and sound in a wide range of sports, following the action of the fast and furious sporting forms being sampled, as they evolve into shifting new musical patterns of rhythmic audio and video.
Efforts has a simple concept: "to reverse what the audience sees and to make us see what the athletes look at, what they feel at the moment of their effort. To express this inner sensory universe, I chose to equip an athlete with a small camera fixed at eye level - a subjective camera.
This technique, with the athlete's physical limits and the material, gives a mirror effect of the performance itself. A one time shot. In case of a failure, the project could collapse. The athlete and I were bound to the success of the experience."
