Born in 1968, Takeo Hatai, graduated as a draughtsman from the School of Visual Art in Osaka and thereafter in animation and computer graphics from the Faculty of Data Processing in Kobe. He makes animation advertising films and 3D computer graphics as a director for "Animation Staff Room", the most prestigious studio of animation advertising in Japan.
Since 2003 he has also run his own Parisian studio,"the pivot", with which he recently produced advertising films for Honda, Nike or Shiseido. Nominated or rewarded by several prizes, Takeo Hatai's movies are regularly selected in the artistic events like Onedotzero,Siggraph, Imagina or Shots.
