Lawrence English is a media artist, composer and curator based in Brisbane, Australia. English's work is eclectic, working across a broad field of exploration. He treats various themes using audio/visual environments, subtly transforming public spaces into artworks that exist at the very edge of perception. His work is edited by prestigious labels as Cronica, Quatermass, Wind Measures and Sensori Project. Lawrence English has composed sounds that amplify sensations and create images.

Ghost Towns is a vestige of a world which no longer exists, abandoned villages overtaken by Mother Nature, factories inhabited by weeds, and nary a living soul, just the presence of small cloud formations intimating the phantoms that refuse to leave.
It was nominated for the Qwartz video award 2006.
NB : The original version of the film, Ghost Town, has been destroyed due to an unexpected incident. Therefore, the archival version that we are presenting here is the only remaining format that the film exists in.
