"Nails" by Han Hoogerbrugge - 2007 / 4'
Han Hoogerbrugge, born in 1963, lives and works in Rotterdam.
In 1994 Hoogerbrugge started his personal website (www.hoogerbrugge.com) with the "Neurotica" series, an interactive selfporttrait. The last part of 100 Neurotica episodes is published in 2001. In 2002 he starts "Nails", again a selfportrait, where the subject is dealing with modern day life.
In between he also makes prints, installations, films and videoclips.

In a classic black Pulp Fiction suit, Hans Hoogerbrugg inflicts himself through a Flash animation, a series of ironic tortures on us the inhuman. Nails was an online auto portraits series, that the Dutch artist decide to edit in video under the pressure of his fans.
