Eric Michel, the French multimedia artist, was born in 1962 in Aix-en-Provence.After finishing high-level scientific studies, he pursued his artistic activities.
At the present time, the artist paints works, canvases saturated with colors, with pure pigments, rhythmical and flooded with light. His videos and fluorescent light works are essentially based on the tradition of seeking the immaterial, in the steps of Yves Klein, James Turell and Dan Flavin.He exposes and works with the Gallery Vanessa Suchar (www.vanessasuchar.com).

In Swimming Fluo, "light still plays an essential part, but I have completed the central dialectic by a balancing game on the elements, the time frame, and the space".
The central idea is to eulogize slowness opening the body to freedom and pleasure.
All the Games elements are there: the flame, the stopwatch, the water... But they slowly evolve backward. At that particular moment, the audience has a feeling of floating in time and space in a kind of hypnotic dimension.
