Ana Busto, the Spanish video artist, was born in 1952 in Bilbao, Spain. After finishing her secondary schooling, she enrolled for journalism studies in the Universitad Autonoma of Barcelona, in Spain. The Spanish artist lives between Spain and New York. She has worked with video, photography, sculpture, sound and performance. Her work focuses on the different aspects of the body: physical, territorial, and politic in the context of Western culture."My work looks at how biology, politics and social issues make traces, scares and wounds on the body".
